There are excellent fishing opportunities within this compartment with a “free fishing” area along the river bank accessed by an informal footpath following off Station Road. On the opposite bank, the Great Yarmouth and Norfolk County Angling Association lease the riverbank between Beauchamp Arms and the Claxton drainage pump and hold many fishing competition along this stretch of river between March and October.
You’ll need to cross train crossing and call needed to make sure tracks are clear. There is a manned crossing from Strumpshaw which leads to the on-site parking at Buckenham Marshes
This is an RSPB reserve and contains a wildlife viewing station.
